Big Pine Gathering System

Butler, Armstrong, Indiana, and Westmoreland Counties, PA

Fifty-five miles of 20- and 24-inch gathering pipeline through the heart of the Pennsylvania Marcellus play, delivering to three interstate transmission lines. An extension connecting to MarkWest’s Bluestone Plant increased capacity by 125,000 dekatherms per day.

Initial construction included newly built pipeline and major river crossings, delivered in 14 months on an aggressive in-service schedule.

Hickory Bend Gathering System

Pennsylvania and Ohio

Approximately 60 miles of 20- and 24-inch wet-gas gathering and NGL pipeline in northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, with capacity of more than 600 MMcf/d, plus a 200 MMcf/d cryogenic plant in Mahoning County, Ohio.

Delivered on time and on budget with more than 300,000 man-hours and no lost-time incidents.

Monroe, Belmont, and Jefferson Counties, OH

A 52-mile, 36-inch gathering trunkline serving Utica lean-gas production, capable of 2.1 Bcf/d to Rockies Express and Texas Eastern, plus a 25,000 hp compressor station in Monroe County.

KSM provided preliminary corridor surveying for the permitting package, construction plans, and limit-of-disturbance stake-out along the entire 52 miles, including a deed mosaic of 230 properties across three counties.
